Power BI Weekly Issue 67: 15th July 2020

The Power BI 2020 release wave 2 notes have surfaced in the last week. Lots of exciting features are in the pipeline, including a Small Multiples visual, Power BI Dataflows & ADLS g2 integration at the workspace level, and DirectQuery over Power BI and Azure Analysis Services (which is the new "Enterprise semantic modeling" feature that Christian Wade demoed at MBAS a couple of months ago). But there are many more than that - please do check it out.

Other than the release plan, this week we've been told about the New contact list for Power BI apps and the option to allow contributors to update apps, and that the .NET Core support for Azure Analysis Services client libraries is in preview. Elsewhere, Mimoune Djouallah has described Rendering 1.2 Million points in PowerBI using Icon Map, and Natalie Garces has explained How to Create a Control Chart in Power BI.
