Power BI Weekly Issue 55: 21st April 2020

Last week the 'new look' of workspaces in the Power BI service was rolled out across all regions. What do people think of it? I'm struggling to get used to it, personally, but maybe that will come with time. We've also been told about the ability to Copy a Visual as an Image in reports and dashboards, which I'm sure many of you will find very useful! The Power BI team has also written April update on What's new and what's next for Paginated Reports.

In AAS land, a bunch of features have become GA:

From endjin this week, Carmel has written about Table Functions in DAX, and James has described how to save money with automatic shutdown in AAS. Elsewhere, Chris Webb and Imke Feldmann have written two similar blogs about handling data that may quickly become unavailable in a data source: Keep The Existing Data In Your Power BI Dataset And Add New Data To It Using Incremental Refreshand Create a load history or stage in CDS instead of incremental load in Power BI.
