Power BI Weekly
Issue #51 - 24th March 2020
A couple of announcements this week - one is that the On-premises data gateway March 2020 update is now available, and the other is that there is new Paginated Reports in a Day training available for free online - great for those not well acquainted with Paginated Reports. The Power BI team has also highlighted the virtual event happening on the 2nd April which will include the new innovations coming soon to Power BI.
Elsewhere this week, my colleague Carmel Eve has started a "Learning DAX and Power BI" series. Her first couple of blogs are about Filter Contexts and Row Contexts - fundamental concepts to understand before delving too deep into complex formulae. Also this week, Greg Deckler has written about Performance Tuning DAX, and Marc Lelijveld has written part 2 of how to Monitor your On-premises data gateway with Azure and Power BI, talking about data source connectivity.
I hope you're all staying safe and well during this tough period! If you suddenly find yourself having to work from home, be sure to read another of Carmel's blogs about Mental health and managing the challenges of remote working - endjin has been fully remote for 3 years, but working from home takes some getting used to, as I'm sure many of you can attest.
