Power BI Weekly

Issue #260 - 28th May 2024

Only a single (official) announcement this week, which is the GA of the Power Automate Visual – Embed Workflows Directly Within Your Power BI Reports, which now includes the ability to easily switch environments. Chris Webb has also amplified a small M update, and that's the introduction of Module.Versions Function In Power Query, which will mainly help folks creating custom connectors apply certain features to certain versions. Elsewhere this week, Rita Fainshtein has described When to Use Heatmaps and How to Implement Row-Level Heatmaps in Power BI, using matrices instead of the default heatmap to achieve more granular coverage. Finally, Laura-Jayne Adamson has made us all aware that The Countdown Is On for the Fabric Trials, explaining how very soon you'll have to switch over to a paid capacity or risk losing any Fabric items against Trial workspaces. So make sure you address this quickly!
