Power BI Weekly
Issue #220 - 15th August 2023
Whilst not Power BI-specific, this week has been the first official Microsoft Fabric Monthly Update covering everything across Data Factory, Synapse, Data Activator, OneLake and Power BI. Looks like the Fabric team (which, as I understand it, is now synonymous with the Power BI team) are continuing their good practice of sharing regular round-up blogs which have proved invaluable for the Power BI community over the last number of years. All the Power BI highlights in that blog have been shared previously in these newsletters - so if you're only interested in Power BI then no need to sift through that. One new announcement on the Power BI side is that you can now Easily label your data with the new sensitivity bar for Power BI and Fabric which appears in the Fabric UI (/Power BI Service). Elsewhere this week, Antriksh Sharma has been investigating the new developer mode in Power BI and has highlighted One problem with Power BI Project files and Git integration, and, back on the Fabric-strategic front, Barry Smart has continued his series with the new blog Developing a Data Mesh Inspired Vision Using Microsoft Fabric.
