Power BI Weekly Issue 214: 4th July 2023
No official announcements this week, but Darren Gosbell has shared the v3.0.8 Release of DAX Studio, including improved metadata refresh for Fabric Direct Lake models, and the ability to include dynamic format strings within the DEFINE MEASURE syntax. Otherwise this week, I've actually started a video series showcasing an end-to-demo Fabric demo, with Part 1 - Lakehouse & Medallion Architecture and Part 2 - Inspecting 28 Million row dataset already released, a new episode coming out this week, and plenty more over the next few weeks covering Data Engineering Notebooks, OneLake and Power BI. Finally, a bit of Power BI specific content this week - as ever, Bas Dohmen has shared a great tutorial video describing how to Cross-highlight Scatterplots instead of cross-filter alongside a couple of other cool visual tricks.
