Power BI Weekly
Issue #210 - 6th June 2023
A bit of a lull this week after a hectic week last week - hopefully you've had a chance to catch-up on any Build content you missed. This week the Power BI team has discussed all things Power BI Embedded with Microsoft Fabric, with the main highlight being that embedding Power BI is possible with all the new Fabric capacities, which I think is amazing (attention ISVs!) Oh, and if you haven't already seen, the Microsoft Fabric pricing has been announced, with capacities starting at $262.80 a month for an F2 (though less if you pause it), and going up in factors of two in power and price all the way up to $269,107.20 a month for an F2048 (be careful which button you click!). Remember that this is just pay-as-you-go pricing - reserved pricing (e.g. commitment-based) will be released over the coming months. The other official Power BI blog this week is a reminder about the retirement of data support for Streaming Dataflows, whereby any data retained within Power BI will no longer be available starting mid-June. So make sure you migrate to the Azure Stream Analytics No-code editor in the next couple of weeks if you haven't done so already.
A few additional articles for you this week. Firstly, Romain Casteres has described how to Monitor Tenant Settings in Microsoft Fabric utilizing the new Tenant Settings API, Chris Webb has provided some sample KQL queries to help you Monitor Power BI Dataset Refresh Memory And CPU Usage With Log Analytics, and Bas Dohmen has shown a few examples of How Custom Labels in Power BI Will Make Your Reports Shine.
