Power BI Weekly Issue 167: 26th July 2022

A couple of articles related to the changes to Power BI custom visual licensing this week, where it's now possible to buy, sell, manage, and enforce licenses directly through the AppSource commercial marketplace. Learn more in the following articles: Partners: Introducing a new way to manage, enforce and transact licenses for Power BI visuals and Introducing a new way to purchase licensed Power BI visuals and manage licenses through Microsoft platforms.

Elsewhere this week, Ben Gribaudo has discussed the difference between the “Remove” or “Remove Other” functions when getting rid of columns in PQ, Gaelim Holland has described How To Create Enhanced Box Plots In Power BI Using Python, and Patrick Leblanc has shown an interesting new approach for dynamic Power BI visuals

Finally, I'd like to highlight a new hot-off-the-press book this week, which is Pro Power BI Dashboard Creation by Adam Aspin. The first in a trilogy of books, this one about getting up and running with building effective and appealing reports in Power BI, diving deep into the various visuals and interactivity features. Do check it out, and stay tuned for the remaining books!
