Power BI Weekly

Issue #145 - 22nd February 2022

It's Power BI Feature Summary time, and there are a few lovely features landing this month. First of all we have the new mobile visual formatting pane (preview) which is a very welcome addition for those of us who create mobile versions of our reports. Next, the Dynamic M Query Parameters feature now supports SQL Server and more relational data sources (e.g. most flavours of SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata), which is awesome - you'll see a couple of blogs about this below and learn about how it can help you. We've also been told that the Power BI Windows app now has a dark mode, which is great, but most of you are probably waiting for the Power BI Desktop dark mode, which unfortunately still doesn't exist. Sorry.

Elsewhere this week, Imke Feldmann has described how to Transform multiple columns at once with reference to existing column in Power Query, Brian Julius has described How to Create And Debug Custom Functions In Power BI, and Chandeep Chhabra has show how to use buttons and bookmarks to Turn On / Off Tooltips In Power BI.
