Issue #130 - 19th October 2021
Welcome to the 130th edition of Power BI Weekly! A handful of announcements this week. First of all, we've been told about the Power BI Desktop Installer Changes & WebView2, which includes an action on everyone who's installed Power BI Desktop via the Microsoft Store to install the new WebView2 rendering engine - see the blog for the link to the installer. We've also been told about the Power BI Streaming Dataflows October Update, including support for Azure Blob Storage as a source and support for static reference data to complement your streaming data. And last but not least, the Power BI October 2021 Feature Summary has been released, with my particular favourite this time being the further improvements to DirectQuery for Power BI datasets and Azure Analysis Services, whereby you can now select the specific tables you want to connect to.
