Power BI Weekly Issue 111: 25th May 2021

Quite a quiet week this week. Hardly any data preparation articles... Has everyone fallen out with Power Query? Maybe it's quiet because we're all preparing for the Microsoft Build Summit taking place today until the 27th - it's free, there are loads of great sessions scheduled, including AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions giving you the chance to ask your questions to the powers-that-be within Microsoft. Make sure you check it out! Otherwise, there's just the one main announcement this week, and that's the support for Power BI + Denodo Single Sign-On (SSO) using the Data Gateway.

The Power BI team has also released some Best practice rules to improve your model's performance and design (v1.1) which provides some updates to those announced in an article a few months ago. Elsewhere, Mara Pereira has continued the handy Power BI Report Development 101 series, writing Report Development 101 - Part 2, covering elements including RLS and Q&A. Finally, Mihaly Kavasi has written about How to tame Power BI - Get in control before it gets out of control referring to numerous admin operations that can help administer the use of Power BI in your organization.
